I got the idea when some guys tried breaking into my college house. I thought It would be an interesting concept in some half-wit crooks tried breaking into a sorority girls house. One thing I notice in new filmmakers is the tendency to tell very dark and dramatic stories. For my films I like to try and go a more comical and light hearted route because those are the type of films I'm drawn too.
