About this submission

Time moves slow, fast. A Korean-American who chose to follow her dreams now finds herself an undecorated writer at age 32, living a life far from what she had pictured.

Sara Chung is a 21-year-old Korean-American and Los Angeles native. She made her directorial debut with the film "Inganmi," a project she co-wrote and co-produced. Currently on a festival run extending to 2024; in July of 2023, "Inganmi" will be premiering at an Oscar-Qualifying Film Festival. She is currently in production of her second film, "Burger Knight," a short drama/comedy that offers a unique perspective on the new generation of POC youth in America. Her dream of filmmaking is rooted in a deep desire to pay forward the inspiration and solace she found in the work of Director Michel Gondry of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Barry Jenkins—Moonlight, Bong Joon-ho—Mother, Céline Sciamma—Portrait of a Lady on Fire, and the animated children's show Adventure Time. more...
