A recent tragedy in my family created a desire to explore the emotional experience of grief. The loss of a loved one made me feel infantile and incapable of expressing myself, so I thought the film should be told using childlike aesthetics to reflect a childlike emotional state. Thus, we used finger puppets and miniature sets to tell a story about a young girl searching for some semblance of closure amidst a monumental loss.
