I was never able to make my college thesis film, because my final semesters at college were caught in the pandemic.
Restless and living in my childhood home with my parents, I grew inspired to translate my musings into a visual essay about the area I grew up in. I directed, shot, and edited entirely myself with music and animations by my oldest friend. It is a love letter to the South Bay of Los Angeles. This was an exercise in preserving a place in time by weaving together seemingly disparate subjects into a meditation on isolation and yearning.
