In my Caribbean background, although we mean well, we often use home remedies such as tea when we feel sick, instead of going to a doctor. I thought it would be interesting to tell a story about a conflict between a daughter who's trying to take care of her father the best way she knows how, and a father who is still holding on to his old traditions and ways.
