I wanted to create a meditation on being lost, isolation, grief and eventually finding the way to closure. Coming of age during the pandemic intensified the loneliness inherent in that phase of life. During that period I started writing this story, and in retrospect, the story speaks to how I was coping at the time. My story follows a young woman lost in life and disconnected from herself, fixating on external distractions. I aimed to convey, through an intimate and surreal lens, that despite pain and disorientation, one can navigate their way out, even through unforeseen avenues.
