About this submission

In the midst of COVID-19 spreading globally, a group of scientists, outside of the commercial vaccine world, take it upon themselves to save lives and improve science by making and publishing their own vaccine and research, and in part creating the world’s first open-source vaccine. Many argue this is a “do-it-yourself vaccine” that risks safety, this project’s accessibility creates an in for countries and scientists seeking to help their communities that historically have been excluded from vaccine research and development, and often chosen much later to receive the vaccines from the corporate pipeline. Due to the pandemic, this film was made remotely.
