The vices that manipulate our society as a whole has always made me think and rethink. CHECKMATE is a metaphorical dramatic film which portrays how the different vices in the form of pride, greed, lust etc. create an imbalance through their intervention in a system that initially functions to achieve a state of equilibrium. The film revolves around two chess players seriously involved in a game of chess and with time as the circumstances change, the narrative takes a turn. This primary idea of a game taking place in a void and the following events deep down has a message.
