The song of the same name inspires Backseat Boys by a local rapper in Dallas, Spike Chester. I wanted to make a visual piece to his song that feels more fleshed out than the usual music video. Therefore, I sought to create a story that many can relate to and, most of all, felt like black people getting to just be on screen which is a rarity in our current ecosystem.
