25 Sights from Ukraine is a visual poem that eulogizes the incredible sacrifice undertaken by the Ukrainian people by showing real footage taken from the perspectives of refugees and soldiers during the invasion. It’s set against a Ukrainian folk song played by 96 violinists from around the world and features a poem by Ukrainian poet Ilya Kaminsky. Kaminsky’s words gently warn against the gradual desensitization of violence that turns into complacency and inaction. The footage of the happiness and dignity that still preservers reminds the audience that so much could still be saved.
