A relationship is a perplexing communication system. What makes a couple successful? Do milestones count as measurable tools for the success of a relationship? Or is it simply presence and conversation that matters the most? Inspired by simplistic filmmakers like Linklater and Kiarostami, I chose a real-life couple to play fictionised versions of themselves as they have a gentle, minimalistic romance on screen in a 17-minute single-shot film.
