I've always wanted to make a film about my grandmother, and try to capture how sweet & loving she is to everyone around her. Last time I went to Brazil to visit the family I decided to shoot something around her recipe of the traditional Brazilian dish Pão de Queijo - while at the same time presenting some of her life and culture. My idea was for the film to work as both a practical recipe video of the dish and a brief portrait doc on my grandmother, Abadia. The film was entirely shot & sound recorded with an iPhone.

Vibrations

It's always been a dream of mine to create an original period setting tale. Vibrations is a short story about rebellion, questioning the system and sparking a change in a fictitious Georgian England. At its core perhaps, it's a story about a mother protecting her daughter at all costs, then realising her daughter might not need her protection anymore. Its eerie setting and religious depictions are inspired by early christian mythology of divine retribution. The idea was to always seek the 'new' in these old legends and apply the 'old' with this new one.
