Martín Rejtman estudió cine en la Universidad de Nueva York. Su primer largometraje “Cropped Head” (1992) le valió su primera nominación al premio Silver Leopard en el Festival de Cine de Locarno. Posteriormente dirigió “Silvia Prieto” (1999), “Los guantes mágicos” (2003), el documental “Copacabana” (2006), “Formación elemental para actores” (codirigido con Federico León) (2008), y “ Dos tiros disparados ”(2014). Durante los últimos años, ha habido varias retrospectivas de su trabajo (BAFICI; Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, California; Valdivia Film Festival; Harvard Film Archive; Jeonju International Film Festival, South Korea; Lincoln Center Film Society, Nueva York, Cinemateca Portuguesa, entre muchas otras).
Rejtman también es escritor, habiendo publicado “Rapado”, “Treinta y cuatro cuentos”, “Velcro y yo”, el guión de “Silvia Prieto”, “Literatura y otros cuentos” el texto de “Formación elemental para actores” y “Tres Cuentos".
Martín Rejtman studied film at the New York University. His first feature Cropped Head (1992) got him his first nomination to the Silver Leopard award at the Locarno Film Festival. Later, he directed Silvia Prieto (1999), The Magic Gloves (2003), the documentary Copacabana (2006), Elementary Training for Actors (co-directed with Federico León) (2008), and Two Shots Fired (2014). During the past few years, there’ s been various retrospectives of his work (BAFICI; Pacific Film Archive, Berkeley, California; Valdivia Film Festival; Harvard Film Archive; Jeonju International Film Festival, South Korea; Lincoln Center Film Society, New York, Cinemateca Portuguesa, among many others).
Rejtman also is a writer, having published “Rapado”, “Thirty four stories”, “Velcro and I”, the “Silvia Prieto” script, “Literature and other stories” the text to “Elementary Training for Actors”, and “Three Stories”.
