Leon Ristov

Leon Ristov is a writer-director from Skopje, North Macedonia. He got his break as an actor with a lead role in the Berlinale-premiering feature WHEN THE DAY HAD NO NAME (2017). Leon's sophomore directorial effort — I'M CALLING YOUR FATHER (short, 2020) — premiered at the Sarajevo Film Festival and screened internationally at over 20 festivals, winning the Grand Prix at two. Leon is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Screenwriting and Directing at Columbia University in the City of New York. He is an alum of Sarajevo Talents and holds a B.A. in Film Studies from Wesleyan University in the United States.
