“creation of woman” is an experimental film that explores and deconstructs the original “creation of adam” painting by Michelangelo. In this painting, Adam was created in “God’s likeness,” and is supposed to represent all of humanity-what does that say if all of humanity is represented by a cishet white man? What if that concept/expectation was subverted? This piece intends to attempt to capture the multi faceted sides of women/femmes, from the ethereal to the messy and beautiful, and everything in between.
