Living with OCD and anxiety was always a challenge. When the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world, it became even harder. I spent years in therapy getting rid of certain thoughts and behaviors -- in the pandemic, those same things became rational and expected. This year brought a new kind of cognitive dissonance that I'd never experienced before, and I know I am not the only person with OCD to feel this way. OCD is still a disorder that does not get much media attention, and I wanted to bring awareness to how people with OCD are faring in unprecedented times.
