This is a personal narrative based on my own experience. 'Zuri' tells the story of a young girl dealing with the unique challenge of hearing loss and finding self-confidence through her new secret superpower, hearing aids. Zuri is guided by her amazing mother, to embrace her differences.

My heart completely melts when young girls/women have come up to me in astonishment after seeing this film and say, "That is exactly how I felt". It is why I made this short, to connect. It is why I make art overall.
