I wanted to tap into my generation's collective fear of insignificance. Having your entire adult life ahead of you is terrifying. I, and I'm sure many others, sometimes wish there was just a way to skip past all the decision making, all the opportunities to make mistakes. This story allowed me to give voice to that feeling and reassure myself and my audience that it's okay to not have your whole life figured out at 21.
