I am a first-year cinema/screenwriting student at the University of Iowa and have been challenging myself to create films out of my comfort zone. I am a creative person and usually a fictional storyteller-- for this project, I wanted to focus on a real place. In Iowa City, there is a space that has multiple venues of entertainment. I find it fascinating-- we are so drawn to entertainment as a way to connect. We value the experiences we have with each other-- we need each other to thrive. Nobody expects art in Iowa-- I am here to make it seen.
