Watch You Rise elevates the voices of teens and young adult sexual assault survivors and perpetrators, intending to question the status quo, portray diverse communities, and discover solutions for how to transcend cycles of abuse. There are many obstacles to receiving accurate and wholesome information about sexual intimacy, consent, and violation when sex education in schools is shoddy and unstandardized. Additionally, we have largely been left out of adult-dominated conversations in the media. This film intends to shine a light on the nuances and complexities of these issues and bring about a culture of increased awareness and communication.
