I left to live in a country where I often did not understand the culture or the language. Though normally expressive and extraverted in a short span I felt more represented by the speech/hearing-impaired experiences in this new place. The inspiration for Vito came very quickly after my arrival to Argentina. It is framed as a failed attempt to find the end to one's desires while being physically constrained and poorly equipped overall to do so.
