I chose to tell this story to raise awareness of the dangerous cycles of relationship violence that affect women in Mexico and provide young people with the tools to leave these potentially lethal situations. By collaborating with the Amor Bueno foundation (based in Guanajuato, Mexico) and adapting a Christmas Carol, I aimed to create a relatable narrative that would resonate with young audiences and help them understand the importance of seeking help from friends and loved ones. My hope is that this film will contribute to the ongoing efforts to empower young people to build healthy and safe relationships.
