Biographical film about my maternal grandparents, who lived apart during many years of their marriage, as shown through correspondence they held in the 1970s. My narration of their letters shows my grandmother’s concerns with daily life raising their three children by herself in their hometown, Ixtlán de Juárez. The film was shot on a smartphone and includes archival still photos and footage of my mom and I in their house today, in the Zapotec region of Oaxaca, México.
