For the first short film of my adulthood, I wanted to tell the story of my relationship with depression. Transience is an intimate artistic rendition of my state of being while moving from the trough of my most recent depressive episode. As a product of Nigerian upbringing, I found that creation and sensory regulation were the only two things that helped me understand this stigmatized suffering I experience. This film is a continuation of this practice of cathartic creation, making space for grounding myself in the agency I have to access bits of peace and the immensity in my present.
