About this submission

Thought Snatcher is about resisting conformity of thought. It follows a person’s journey as he tries to retrieve his imagination after it is stolen. The world in which he exists provides standardized versions of a thought to each person and discards their original ones.

This film came to me from frustration towards my environment whose rigidity didn't allow the full scope of my being to be expressed. I found comfort and richness in the margins of acceptability and I wanted to make a film which cherishes resistance. Even the medium of animation was a necessity due to lack of resources.
