I wanted to tell a simple story and play with form-- a pseudo-theatrical production that embraces everything I love about cinema-- motion, improvisation, time-manipulation, music-- that feels like a hybrid of it all. The juxtaposition of a small argument about big ideas turning into a tragedy excited me-- as I wrote more, ideas about class, colonialism, and human connection came through. It was a loose production, shot in about four hours with friends and classmates. I'd like to continue to play with these themes and visual ideas.
