I wanted to use inanimate objects to embody the kinds of emotions that human beings experience under high-pressure situations--in this scenario, during a competition. Two opponents face off and lose a grip on their morals or their sense of humanity, and ultimately, when the competition draws to a close, they are left feeling embarrassed by their actions. By using a tea kettle and pot, the situation becomes humorous and entertaining while also drawing attention to a number of humanity's flaws.
