Tingting (20) tries boosting business at a Chinese funeral shop in New York by dressing as "the Jade Girl" (messenger of the underworld) but fails. Desperate for cash, she sneaks into Yufen's (80) apartment, mistaken by Yufen for the real Jade Girl reuniting her with her late husband. Tingting agrees to take Yufen to a beach reminiscent of her honeymoon in exchange for a jade bracelet. Yufen, unafraid, anticipates death and urges Tingting to join her. Bonding over preparations, Tingting reconsiders her decision.
