About this Video
I wanted to explore the idea of human distant congeniality toward one another, through a medium that is made to bring people together. That is why I chose Schopenhauer’s metaphor for human isolation, the Hedgehog Dilemma, as the basis for this short film. Psychology’s study of manipulation and a filmmaker’s storytelling both create a time-space in which humans connect and give each other a sense of belonging to that isolated feeling. A temporary answer to the eons-long question: What is life’s purpose? Film connects us and psychology proves why.
