LeeAnne Lowry was born and raised in the suburbs of Kansas City, Kansas. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, earning a B.F.A. in Digital Filmmaking in 2015 and an M.F.A. in Writing for Film and Television in 2019. Since then she has worked for Newsy, Ragtag Film Society, and various freelance film projects. As of 2023, she and her wife are located in Columbia, Missouri after several years in Portland, Oregon and Nashville, Tennessee. Together they are writing a dystopian romantic comedy called "Daintree Slims". LeeAnne is also shopping a comedy series called "Hard Work".
