In the garden of an indiscernible country, a man is deluded by an obsession that has overcome him: he is haunted by the thought he must serve and tend to "a flower." A local horticulturalist becomes an observer to his state of fugue under the enrapturement of this "flower" that she cannot quite comprehend.
