A place to feel safe. A place to feel seen. A place to explore. Rosa Duffy has worked hard to create a unique space where people from all walks of life can not only come and lose themselves in the literature of the past but connect to people they may not usually meet. Sweet Auburn’s Reading Room is a short documentary about “For Keeps”, a Black-owned, woman-owned bookstore that has a very dear place in my heart. Places like this are rare, and I wanted to showcase the impact they have on their community.
