About this submission

I once saw a man get shot twenty feet away from me. I was walking home and it just... happened. One minute two men are fighting, the next, one's shot. Stray Bullets is about that impending fear of violence, violence that consistently surrounds us and slowly creeps closer. We notice it getting closer, and we try to ignore it, but eventually, we can't.
Living in Puerto Rico all my life, I always had to be aware.
I was paranoid for months after that moment, wouldn't leave my apartment.
I needed an excuse to go out, so I made this short.
