Dialogue free and universal in its story-telling, Stood Up is a short film filled with memories of happily ever afters and love at first sight.

Charming, loyal and perpetually single Ben is tired of always being the best friend and wing-man. After deciding to shake things up, he agrees to a blind date. But, when things go awry, will fate step in and save him from forever being friend-zoned?

Cjay Boisclair is an award winning filmmaker from Kamloops, BC. First introduced to the film world when Power Rangers shot on location, she instantly fell in love with the industry, quickly moving into acting and production. Her debut short script, The Bench (2018), garnered numerous nominations and awards at film festivals around the world. Following on the heels of this success was Cjay's second script, Stood Up(2019), which won funding and mentor-ship from the Women in the Director's Chair (WIDC) Short Works Award. Debuting at the St.John's International Women's Film Festival and enjoying a robust film festival run, Stood Up has been accepted into more than 77 film festivals internationally with over 48 awards/nominations (as of July 31st, 2020). In early 2020, Cjay expanded her short film, The Bench, into a feature. Born of lived experience, she weaves an authentic tale of a young girl battling homelessness while facing the pressures of school, family, and the loss of innocence. As well as owning Askem Productions, Cjay and her husband Duane also own and operate Askem Talent, a talent agency serving the Interior and Okanagan of BC since 2018.
