About this submission

As a remix of Donny Hathaway's Someday We'll All Be Free plays, Aminah and Tino take us on a journey through Memphis, TN. Two historical landmarks seen are the Lorraine Motel and I Am A Man Mural. Flashbacks of the Sanitation Workers Strike and Martin Luther King Jr.'s final speech in 1968 are reminders of Memphis' history. As we come to the present, Aminah and Tino go to Black-owned organizations making a positive difference in the city. The end is an emphasis on reading and education. Those two things are important in the restorative justice of Memphis.
