Julian is a closeted gay pop star who is succumbing to the struggles of the pressure of keeping a straight image in front of his audience. He is about to have a breakdown until his management comes to his "rescue" and provides him drugs in order to bring back the "spark" he feels he has lost and shut down his feelings because the show must go on.
