About this Video
The film narrates the experience of a young black girl being called upon on the first day of black history month. The girl unwillingly goes to the front of the classroom where she is expected to recite the typical stories of historical figures found in the British education system. Instead she begins reciting a poem which details new and surprising facts about African history.
