‘SISYPHUS’ explores the current state of club culture in Brooklyn (the internal fears, problems, issues and expressions) through the Greek myth of Sisyphus. I started with the actors. I met them in my acting course in Mid-Town NYC. I wrote this short script and through rehearsal, improvisation, and rewrites we came to the current story. We wanted to focus on the Barrow Group method of naturalistic acting and see how our training would translate on-screen. These actors play three characters, each with their own motivations, shortcomings, obsessions, and delusions.
