My mom is often my muse, since I was an old child raised by a strong single mom. She has told me many stories of how she struggled with alcoholism (before I was born). Offhandly, she once mentioned that while getting sober a vision of Jesus appeared (even though she's Jewish). This made me laugh so hard and inspired me. Roadtrip Rebirth is a love letter to my mom, about being loved and being enough while trying to better oneself (eg get sober).
