Like many people, I am fascinated (and terrified) by true crime and the seedy underbelly of the human population. I realized however that I could change the story I seemed to hear over and over – beautiful woman full of hopes and dreams cut down in her youth by a power-hungry manipulative monster. Where there is usually agony, I could create agency, and where there is usually tragedy, I could create triumph. I, therefore, went about writing, producing, and directing my own version of the story.
