About this submission

I wanted this film to portray the obscene violence that is sexual assault in a way that does not glorify or romanticize the act. As a victim, I have often felt that sexual assault is not handled well in the film industry. It felt important to me to make something that feels, above all, accurate. This film shows Charlie's pain, and the pain of all the people she represents, but, most importantly, it welcomes victims to see themselves in Charlie, and know they are not alone, and that support can come from the most unexpected of places.
