About this submission

One day, during National Suicide Prevention Month, I was inspired to write a short screenplay inspired by the '90's nostalgia of Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls. After meeting an incredible pianist while studying at UCLA, I knew working with a composer could help bring my vision to life and illustrate the theme that music can heal. "Raggedy Anne" is a story for kids struggling with home life, adults struggling to accept their childrens' identities, and siblings who share an unbreakable bond. I hope by sharing my short film that I can inspire other female filmmakers to collaborate and create art!
