About this submission

Growing up, I was raised in an environment that fostered this restless expectation for a person to know exactly what they want, as soon as humanly possible. At 15, I buckled under immense pressure to decide what kind of life I wanted for myself - but now, at 25, I'm only really just starting to figure it out. Pursuit of Happyness is a love letter both for my past and future selves; a reminder that we have time to live and learn, and a knock on the head to not take this one life we have so seriously.
