“Precipice” is an emotional and psychological exploration of the seconds, minutes, and hours after a young woman discovers an unplanned pregnancy. In our current climate around abortion access, I was compelled to explore the nuances of this traumatic discovery in a specific and intimate manner––those cyclical, private moments of shame, anger, fear, adrenaline, and hope.

My background is in theater, and this was my first film project––since theater is such a literary medium, I wanted to challenge myself to explore the visual power of film, and see how much story I could tell in a non-verbal, non-linear structure.
