Within the last couple years, I graduated from college, moved out, and visited my ancestral home for the first time since I was a baby. I'm at the precipice of multiple worlds and timelines, and each of these experiences feel so precious yet fleeting that I wanted to capture them by the places they've become associated with, then release them through this film.
As a first-gen Chinese-American, I'm finally reconciling these worlds at 24 years of age: Filial piety, western individualism, and all the time we lose in our attempts to fit wholly into one or the other.
