I'm a Puerto Rican-Mexican-American from Chicago and I grew up hearing stories like the plot of my short film. I wanted to present a Latino story without the cliches. I wanted to represent myself and my family. When I was young my mom told me my uncle was robbed by his girlfriend. She had gotten some men to rob him. My uncle was a drug dealer at the time. In high school I heard a story on the news about a Chicago kid who was robbed for his lottery money but he didn't have it yet so they killed him.
