I chose to share "Live at X-House" to spotlight the Black voice and celebrate Black creativity. This story captures the transformative power of music in fostering a vibrant sense of community within the Black population at my predominantly white institution. Through Judely and Ellis' diverse musical journeys, I aim to depict the varied experiences within the Black identity. By amplifying these narratives, I contribute to a more nuanced understanding of the rich tapestry that is Black culture, challenging stereotypes and fostering inclusivity through my art.
