I met the writer/actress/producer in 2021 and I immediately loved the script. It told a complex story in a really beautiful and subtle way. We started discussing possibilities for shooting the project and I joined as the director, DP and editor. We are both very passionate about female driven stories and this was one that really spoke to both of us as it showcases a strong mother-daughter relationship. It was important to me to tell a story that doesn't showcase the violence - only the strength.
