The film is a meditative character study that follows a young Dominican immigrant, Raul Fernandez, who moves to NY and eventually kills his abusive, elderly Landlady and disposes of her body in the East River.
I wanted to tell a story that reflected the emotions I was (and still am) grappling with; specifically my frustrations with Capitalism, institutional oppression and poverty.
I also wanted my film to capture the harsh environment that myself and so many other young people of color live in, observe and interact with on daily in New York.
