This short explores the experiences and emotions that are shared but never expressed amongst an immigrant family; specifically questioning how one forms an identity separated from people and from place.

I often wonder what the Iranian-American voice will be, and how a whole generation of displaced Iranian artists will engage with their own histories. This project is an attempt to express truths about the Iranian-American experience from my own life; a first step in what will probably be a lifetime of grappling with the themes of displacement and unsettledness.
